This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Employment Solicitor/Head of Team to join our Legal team. Your role is all about delivering high-quality, practical, and efficient advice to WorkNest’s clients. You’ll do this by leading a team of advisers and personally managing a portfolio of LME and Mid-Market clients, ensuring they receive outstanding support. By providing expert guidance, you’ll help WorkNest continue to offer the UK’s best fixed-fee employment law and employee relations advisory service. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you’ll play a vital role in driving the department’s success and achieving its key objectives.

What we’re looking for
Your role is to provide high-quality, legally compliant advice and documentation to clients, ensuring WorkNest delivers the best fixed-fee legal and ER advisory service in the UK. This includes offering timely, practical, and commercially sound advice while maintaining professional standards. You’ll oversee the quality of work produced by advisers, manage and support your team to foster an efficient and collaborative work environment, and take the lead on large client accounts. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for investigating client complaints, liaising with employee representatives, and supporting clients in achieving their business goals while ensuring legal compliance. Your work may also involve litigation, training, consultancy, and participation in marketing and business development initiatives, including out-of-hours advice as required.
In managing a dedicated portfolio of clients, you’ll maintain regular communication with key stakeholders, set clear expectations, and identify opportunities to enhance WorkNest’s service offerings. Supporting the commercial team with proposals and prospect meetings, you’ll also contribute to process improvements and business growth by promoting WorkNest initiatives and identifying potential upselling opportunities. Ensuring compliance with company procedures, recording time accurately, and delivering work to high standards within agreed timeframes will be key. You’ll focus on personal and team development, maintaining expertise in employment law, identifying training needs, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts within the team. Throughout all aspects of your role, you’ll uphold WorkNest’s culture of integrity, collaboration, and excellence, fostering a supportive and high-performing environment that aligns with the company’s values.
