Your role will be to lead a small team of experienced HR professionals, providing an excellent, efficient bespoke consultancy service to WorkNest clients. You’ll contribute to achieving the vision and mission of the HR Consultancy service, focusing on the strategic development and operational enhancement of HR, ensuring alignment with the mission and aims of WorkNest.

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an experienced Senior HR Consultant & Team Lead to play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of our HR Consultancy team. Working closely with the HRC Operations Director and fellow leaders, you’ll provide day to day guidance and coaching to a team of talented HR professionals, ensuring a consistently high standard of service delivery. You’ll lead on key projects, support with resource planning, and help drive innovation across the team. You’ll also be involved in key decisions, mentoring your team through colleague one to one’s and encouraging development and performance aligned with our values and business goals.
In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll also deliver hands on HR support to clients, offering expert advice on complex cases and employment law matters, while proactively managing a portfolio of client relationships. From restructures and senior investigations to reward strategy and recruitment campaigns, you’ll be a trusted partner to your clients and a champion of best practice.
About You
You’ll be someone with strong experience in leading and developing HR teams, ideally in a client-facing environment. You’ll have a solid track record of managing complex employment matters, a deep understanding of employment law, and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels. A strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, you’ll be confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and a high standard of service. We're looking for someone who’s passionate about people and enjoys working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. You'll need to be comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands on delivery. While CIPD Level 7 (or working towards it) and experience in areas like recruitment, appraisals, training, or ATS systems would be desirable, what matters most is finding someone who brings genuine enthusiasm, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
